The EU-funded INTECMED project Call for Subgrants for Innovative Ideas is now open!
Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a mentorship programme, with winners receiving free mentoring and business plan development training and guidance.
The project aims to build a local integrated innovation ecosystem to support technology transfer and commercialization of research findings and strengthen ties between research, industry, the private sector, and citizens.
At least 48 innovators, researchers and entrepreneursfrom Egypt, Greece, Spain, and Tunisia will benefit from INTECMED mentorship programmes, which will help them market their research findings, in which the best 12 ideas will compete for Three grants to realize their innovative business ideas:
First prize: 30.000 €, Second place: €20.000, and 10.000 € for third place.
This intervention will have a significant economic and social impact, assisting in creating an environment that promotes entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation.
Eligibility:
- Natural or legal persons selected in the INTECMED call for business ideas and participate in the mentorship programme. That includes individual entrepreneurs, researchers, MSMEs and spin-offs.
- Applicants must be residing in Egypt, Greece, Spain, or Tunisia.
- In the case of Egypt: only participants residing in the eligible governorates: Alexandria, Marsa Matruh, Al-Iskandanyah, Al Buhayrah, Kafr ash Shaykh, Ad Daqahliyah, Dumyat, Ash Sharquiyah, Al Isma’iliyah, Bur Sa’id.
